Volunteering our time to serve others is a key to our
growth in faith and also in personal maturity. Often
we find that volunteering in the right place can provide
the greatest meaning in our lives. The Evanston Vineyard
is a community of volunteers. To be a member of our
community is to be a part of a team that is volunteering
in one way or another. There are many kinds of service
and ministry going on in the church.
Some of the easiest places to begin volunteering:
- Help with Sunday Services as a greeter, parking
crew, usher, communion server or coffee/bagel host.
- Help with the Harvest food pantry. We give out food
to the needy on Wednesday nights starting at 5pm.
- Help with the youth ministry or children’s
ministry. An application and security check is required,
but investing in young lives is almost always a fun
and meaningful way to volunteer.
