Our Small Groups
We believe that following Jesus happens the best when we’re in community. Our groups are made up of diverse people that meet all over the Chicagoland area to grow spiritually, meet new friends, and have fun. They are made up of married couples, singles, and families with kids from all walks of life.
Because our hope is that every person that calls the Evanston Vineyard their home would belong to a group, we’re making it easier to join.
How to Join a Group
You can sign up for a group by clicking any of the groups in the left column. You'll find pictures of our leaders and more full descriptions of many groups. Signing up is as easy as filling out the form with your name, email address and phone number and hitting submit. We'll take care of the rest.
If a group is currently full, the registration form will not appear at the bottom of the group page. Groups open to new people at the beginning of each session, so check back then if you'd like to join.
Frequently Asked Questions
When are groups starting?
Our winter groups began the first week in February and will run through the end of April. Some groups still have openings mid-session. All of our groups will open for new signups in May.
How many weeks are groups meeting for?
Our groups meet for 12 weeks. Our winter groups meet from February to April, our summer groups meet from June to August, and our fall groups meet from October to December.
I'm not a member at the Evanston Vineyard. Is it ok if I join a group?
Yes, everybody is welcome in our small groups.
The group I signed up for isn't really a good fit for me. Is it ok if I try another group?
Yes, you can join another group if it's still open for registration. You can check a group's page to see if their registration form is still up. Please email Liz Hawes Ng, our Community Life Pastor, at [email protected] if you'd like help finding a group.
Are people from all faith backgrounds welcome in your groups?
Yes, everybody is invited to join our groups. If you're interested in exploring what it means to be a follower of Jesus, we'd recommend Seek, a group we offer throughout the year. You can also talk with Liz Hawes Ng, our Community Life pastor, to find a group that's a good fit for your interests.
Can I go to more than one group?
Yes, if you actually have time to attend more than one group. Most people find that they have the best experience if they attend one group consistently, rather than several groups occasionally.
I'm interested in leading a small group. What should I do?
We are always looking for new people to lead groups. We provide great training and support to help you have a positive experience as you lead. Please talk with Liz Hawes Ng, our Community Life Pastor, about next steps.
